Feeling sick, worried about colon cancer?
I've felt sick of almost a month now. My stomach has been hurting quite a lot, it comes and goes, it hurts like crazy for several days, and the next I feel totally fine. Some times the pain's like any stomach ache, but other times it's so bad that I have to curl into a ball and cry, and it doesn't even help at times. My stomach has always been " hard" , but lately, about a week or so, every time I have a bowel movement, it's a black color. I used to weight 58 kilos, witch is good for a 5'2, 18 year old girl, but in the past month I've lost 10 kilos 22 pounds without trying, I've not changed anything in my diet, I still have the same work out and everything. I'm kind of scared it could be colon cancer, quite a few people in my family had it. My parents and friends insist on me going to the doctor to get checked out, I'm just really scared.

Stage 4 Recurring Colon Cancer - Expectations / What to say?
My mom was diagnosed with stage 2b colon cancer in October 2008. She had a resection, went through a round of chemo and we thought she was in the clear. In December 2009, the doctors found that the cancer cells latched on the blood supply in her ovaries. She had another resection and a hysterectomy and was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Since then, she's had a colostomy bag and has been doing chemo almost nonstop. By now, she's gone through all the available chemo options. The last one she was on was Erbitux. Her CEA levels were rising exponentially during the last few months. She was complaining of blockage and had another surgery two days ago. The surgeon spent three hours unobstructing her but said there was a golf ball sized tumor in her pelvic area he couldn't take out and another tumor growing on her bladder and multiple ones in her intestines. He said he wasn't sure how deep the tumor on the bladder was may be what's causing blood in her urine too and didn't want to cause more harm than good so he left it and he had to do a bypass on another tumor in the intestines. I have a complicated relationship with my mom, my dad acts like a child, and my younger sister is still a little immature. As things stand now, I don't have any experience dealing with cancer or death of someone close. The last two days after the surgery, my mom has been sleeping a lot and is constantly in and out. She seems so weak and I feel horrible for her. I'm not sure if I should expect days, weeks, or months. Will she get progressively weaker? Will she be in pain? I read that it used to be painful to colon cancer patients 5 years ago. I'm hoping it's different now. I think knowing what to expect will help me a little. Also, I'm not sure what to say to her. Sometimes she's crying because she's scared and because she's been through so much and it didn't amount to much she didn't enjoy the last few years while she was battling cancer . Then later she's talking about cremation, what to do with her ashes, telling us not to miss her, and sounding so hopeless and full of despair. Other than to agree to whatever she is requesting, I can't find any words to say. There's so much I can't forgive her for and she's made everyone so miserable especially over the last few years. I read about all these heroic stories of people battling cancer and having the disease make them a better person or change their perspective in life so they make every day count. My mom has done the opposite of that. She used the cancer to guilt trip and control the people around her. Maybe she did it unintentionally, but the result is that now the people closest to her could probably not handle it if the current situation goes on for much longer. I tried putting myself in her position and I think I would want to hear the other person say that they're scared too, they love me, and will miss me, then joke about the future, past, and afterlife. I could say those things, but they wouldn't be true. Do lie because I think that's what I should say? She's different from me though and unfortunately, I never understood her well and I'm not sure what she would want to hear.
Colon cancer age 15 or something else?
I am 15 years old and for some reason I have had the worse stomach cramps ever I got tested to see if I was allergic to dairy and they said I was a little bit but it seem's like I get them more often now and when I do I get bad gas haha and diarrhea and it never used to be this bad but it's gotten worse over the past year and a half maybe and at one point I think early maybe 2 years ago I would not go to the bathroom when I needed to for some stupid reason and I just learned that can lead to colon cancer but I am 15 and I have not had blood in feces none of the other symptoms and cancer does not run in my family I have not really kept track on if I was eating dairy at the time I get the cramps but it's weird cause I could eat cheese one night with no problem then another night I could have maybe half a glass of milk and I will get the cramps. I am not to sure what the symptoms are but if someone could enlighten me and maybe make me more knowledgeable about if this could be colon cancer or just my allergy to milk. I have actually had these cramps for probably 2 1 2 years maybe 2.Thanks and sorry about it been so long.
