Mom has a family history of cancer, what can she do?
My mom is a 46 year old of german italian descent. my grandmother died at age 54 from gall bladder cancer and my grandfather died at 62 of colon cancer. i am extremely worried about her and am constantly urging her to get more frequent check ups than the average woman does. she had her gall bladder removed a long time ago but i can tell that she expects cancer is going to be the thing that gets her. she has 4 kids including me, with only one my youngest brother left in high school. the fact of the matter is we all love her and considering the fact that i am going to school to be a docter, want her to seek professional help so that she is around for a long time. so my question is, what can i do to help her out? is there anything i should have her specifically ask for when she goes to the doctors blood tests that might reveal something important ? like i said i am always urging her to go more often and when she does i dont think she stresses the family history to the doc,any thoughts?

I have a grape-sized, movable, hard lump under my jaw. I have a history of cancer in my family.?
I know it is not tonsills adenoids because I had them removed 6 years ago. This lump is right under my jawbone on my right side. It really doesn't hurt but I am concerned. I have been having weird things happen to me lately. I have been having blurry vision and eye pain as well. Went to the eye doctor for that and they took a picture of the back of my eye. There was a big white spot on the back of my eye. The think it might be a pigment dispersion, whatever that is. I go back to get another picture taken next week. I have frequent headaches and no energy as well. Is cancer of the lymphnodes a moveable lump or is it stationary?
