Cigarettes and lung cancer?
I smoked on and off in my teens and early twenties. In my teens it was just a weekend thing, and then between ages 20 23 I probably smoked 10 a day.After that I occasionally smoked at a party or whatever never brought cigarettes and then stopped altogether late 20s.But I am worried about my lung cancer risk, as my lungs have never felt quite 'right' since, and my grandfather who was a heavy smoker all his life died of lung cancer in his 60s.What is my risk of lung cancer and is there anything I can do now to bring it down? Thanks muchly EDIT Just to clarify, I don't smoke now and haven't for a couple of years.
Can you have lung cancer without a cough?
Im 18 years old been smoking about a year, in the first 9 months i maybe smoked 10 packs but the last 3 months ive smoked a pack a day. Recently I've been having chest pains, my neck really hurts around to the right and left of my adams apple and im short of breath every day around 3 times a day. Im going to the doctor in a few days but was just wondering if its possible for me to have lung cancer? also it hurts to yawn and its pretty annoying to swallow

Well my mom complained a few nights ago that she was having some heartburn, or acid in her chest and had to go throw up. She throw up and red stuff was in her vomit. She blamed it on some hot pork Rhine's she had eaten a few hours before. A day or two later, she vomited again, complaing that it was heartburn, even though she didn't eat anything hot that day. And now tonight, she has thrown up, because of acid burning.She keeps denying that anything is wrong with her. I am so worried for her
My friend's boyfriend has lung cancer?
He doesn't smoke, but his family does. I read that the average time for lung cancer patients to live is five years after they've been diagnosed is about five years. Is this true? Has anyone had any experience with lung cancer you or someone close had it , and saw any improvements? I'm just so worried for the both of them. He was diagnosed last year, and he got a little better towards the end of the year, but now he's getting worse. He's only 19. Can anyone tell me anything about this? I'm worried, and I want to talk to him about it, but I kind of want to know what he knows about it first, if that makes any sense. Any information would be appreciated, whether it be links, or first hand experiences.

My grandma has it.But I don't really understand because she just went into the hospital like a few days ago or something & They did a biopsy or whatever and saw that she had it & sent her home with pain pills.I thought they had to do chemo?????? Is she going to die becuase my dad said the dr's said that it seems like she's had it for a while, but didnt come to the dr's until the pain got too much to handle .. Or is she like gona go back to chemo? I know i should ask my dad but he starts getting teary eyed and idk i dont want to bring it up with him right nowlucille you are kind of rudeee.
